Project Brief - Knock through wall between the kitchen and dining room to create an open plan kitchen diner

About this project - Our clients wanted to knock through between the kitchen and dining room to create a more open plan kitchen/dining space. With 2 young children the open space allows the family to share a space while involved in different activities.
To enhance this remodelling we removed the existing dining room window and installed aluminium french doors, a contemporary design in preparation for further modernising.
The existing floor was retained with an oak panel laid where the wall used to be. The kitchen island was also moved aside to open out the space. Fortunately we were able to take tiles from the utility room to fill the space where the island had been to save the additional cost of replacing the kitchen flooring.
